I know I should have had an idea about what Dylan wanted to speak to me about, but to see him so nervous and then tripping over his words when he finally admitted that he was gay reminded me so much of myself and my own journey. I was scared and worried of the public and the reactions of others rather than caring about my own self-worth. I should have seen the signs of insecurities and panic that Dylan was displaying all this time around me and everyone else. It was so obvious to me now.

This sexy, strong guy who portrayed himself as someone else just to hide who he really was. It made me emotional and downright heartbroken. It didn’t help that my attraction for Dylan had been growing slowly over all the time we’d been spending together. I’d classed him as out of bounds and pushed him into the friend zone, even though I desperately wanted to kiss him so badly.

I’d felt so bad about all the fucking dreams I’d experienced at night, knowing he was my friend and nothing more. I’d ended up waking up with a hard cock in the night, unable to settle until I glanced across at Dylan’s sleeping form and imagined him sucking and gagging on my long length as he stared into my eyes with tear marks staining his cheeks as I praised him. The moment people discovered he wanted men rather than women, the guys would queue up for him and my friendship would be long forgotten, let alone a chance of anything else.

I had to accept that fact. I was soon to be a nobody to him again. I wouldn’t matter to him in the slightest—be it for friendship or anything more.

“Dylan, are you okay?” I shouted. “It’s just—” I heard the door unlock and open and his sullen face appeared. My heart broke at the sight and made me just want to ease his pain somehow. “Dylan—” My voice cracked.

“I’m okay.” He tried to reassure me. “I’m just going to have a shower and then call it a night.
